The entrepreneur of MADHUSUDAN DAS GOVIND DAS Sarees, Late Shri Madhusudan Das Mohta started the business when people were unknown to kota material. He initially stepped into wholesale business and gradually expanded the business as a retailer too. It was his hardwork and passion for the kota doria materials which brought it in big picture of fabric world in India. The kota fabric is used for sarees, suits, also for curtains too.
The business planted by Late shri Madhusudan Das Mohta grew up to be quite strong and shady under the capable hands of his son Shri Gordhan Das Mohta. He by taking a step ahead in new wing of exhibitions helped the business in flourishing with blossoms of name and fame.
And today the business is being taken care by the third generation Mr. Peyush Mohta. In this new era, the kota doria materials are not only used plain and printed, but also designed with works like kundan, zari, resham embroidery. "Kota suits" is a stable cotton or cotton/silk weave consisting of varied gauges of yarn, creating an almost graph like pattern called khats.
